Sarah Shifley, COTA/L

Sarah is an Idaho native and has lived in Boise with her husband since 1999. Sarah completed her bachelor of science in Psychology from the University of Idaho and worked over 10 years as the director of project management for a telecommunications company. After having two children, Sarah was ready to find more meaningful work and discovered the field of Occupational Therapy, which combines her love of medical science with her passion for helping others. Sarah completed her OTA schooling through Brown Mackie College Boise in 2013 and has worked at ITPC since that time. Sarah has specialized training in Interactive Metronome, Learning Without Tears (handwriting), Mindfulness based approaches for treating Anxiety, Pediatric NDT, The Get Permission Approach to Feeding, Primitive reflex training, Functional Vision assessments and Sensory Processing interventions for kids with Autism that help her implement goals outlined by our resident OTs. In her free time, Sarah loves spending time outdoors with her family, enjoying coffee with friends and reading while her kids play at Roaring Springs.
